After flying to 40 countries and racing through a half-Ironman competition, Derek woke up one morning on the top of Kilimanjaro and saw the world in a new light. He knew marketing could be done better, and proceeded to work at a fast-pace to implement new approaches to influencer-, product-, and community-based marketing that have lasting impact with stellar returns. With over 25 years of marketing and products expertise in the technology industry, Derek currently serves as the vice president marketing and DevOps advocate at Sonatype. In 2016, Derek co-founded the All Day DevOps conference which attracted over 13,500 participants.
